Cap and Gown Ordering Information:
Homeschooldiploma.com is an excellent company and we recommend you get your supplies there. We decided to use a MATTE BLACK cap/gown for both men and women with the hopes that they can be borrowed/sold/handed down later. No collars for the women, and please choose any color tassel you like. The tassel charm is also your choice.
(They also sell announcements, honor cords, class rings and other items.)
Please see Cap/Gown/Diploma Ordering page for more details.
What is the 80-word statement?
As the parents and graduate meet for the presentation of the diploma, our emcee will read a statement, written by the parents, about their student. This brief (80 words or less) statement may make reference to the student’s accomplishments, personal qualities, future plans, or anything else the parent would like to say to honor their graduate.
Please include the student’s name as you want it read. Also include the names of the parents/guardians who will present the graduate their diploma. Please provide phonetic assistance for more difficult name pronunciations on the form.
Please have your 80 word statement ready when you fill out the registration form.
What is the student display?
As part of the Graduating Class of 2019, we invite each graduate to provide a personal presentation about their homeschooling experience or display honoring the graduate. Some ideas/examples:
- A self-standing display board
- A graduation scrapbook
- Get creative!
The display could showcase the student’s accomplishments, talents, interests, and family photos. It should be brought to rehearsal on May 18, 2019. A table will be provided for each graduate providing a display. Please bring display to rehearsal.
Siriani Photography will be providing professional photography services. More info to be provided soon.
